Description We are in the process of recruiting a Director of Software Development based in Ormond Beach, Florida. This role involves leading a team of developers and being the main developer within the organization. The successful candidate will be working hands-on with technologies such as Java, MySQL, XML, Amazon EC2, Apache HTTP/Tomcat, and will be responsible for managing software projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the software development process, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to specification

• Lead a team of developers, providing guidance and support as needed

• Act as the main developer within the organization, working hands-on with technologies such as Java, MySQL, XML, Amazon EC2, Apache HTTP/Tomcat

• Delegate software projects to the team, ensuring tasks are evenly distributed and manageable

• Continuously improve development processes and tools to increase team efficiency and effectiveness

• Collaborate with other departments to align software projects with company goals

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends that could impact the software development process

• Ensure the team adheres to established coding standards and embraces agile development practices

• Monitor the performance of individual developers and the team as a whole to ensure objectives are met

• Handle any software-related issues or bugs, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner. Requirements • Must possess a high level of expertise in 3M operational processes and systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a strong requirement

• Demonstrated knowledge of CapEx budgeting and process management

• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software is desirable

• Strong understanding of budget processes in a corporate environment

• Proven track record in ensuring compliance with industry regulations

• Experience in construction management and oversight

• Knowledge of electrical circuits is advantageous

• Proficiency in Java, Java API, and Java Development

• Knowledge of iOS, Apple iOS, and iOS devices is required

• Experience with MySQL and MySQL Database management

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; Master's degree or higher is preferred
