JOB OVERVIEW:
The Distribution Associate supports the Smallwares Resupply team and will be responsible for filling requests/orders with accuracy, and input data into the system. The Associate will also be responsible in the receiving and proper storage of incoming product in their designated location(s).
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
-Select requested merchandise from correct bin location insuring that pick-ticket is accurately completed and processed
-Receive incoming product; check cases for obvious damage; verify accuracy of documentation and record actual items/quantities received; complete all necessary receiving paperwork and data entry
-Store incoming product in appropriately designated locations to ensure storage is neat and safe
-Load and unload trucks as necessary
-Perform routine housekeeping functions in the distribution center and on material handling equipment
-Various data entry functions
-Complete other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Minimum 2 years experience operating a forklift
-Working knowledge of computers
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-High school diploma or equivalent
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be able to safely and consistently lift 70 pounds
-Minimum 2 years material handling experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
-Ability to represent the distribution center in a professional manner
-Must present a positive attitude and work well; in a team-oriented environment
-strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through
-Ability to read, write, and count accurately, performing simple math
-Clean, neat penmanship
-Ability to sit, stand, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods of time
-Ability to adhere to strict guidelines, standards, and procedures
-Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse environment
-Must be punctual and reliable
-Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed, including occasional weekends
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPIRENCE:
-Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality a plus
