NBC Universal Supervisor, Facilities – Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintain all phases of carpentry including but not limited to: Flooring, Ceramic Tile, Locks, Door Hardware, Drywall, Metal and Wooden Stud Wall Construction, Glass, Mirror, Concrete, Queue Lines, Queue Posts, Cabinetmaking, EFIS Wall systems and Roofing, of Universal Studios Florida buildings and site through Maintenance Leads and Maintenance Technicians; to coordinate any construction work that would be subcontracted to outside company.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements, maintains and achieves a balance for the park maintenance budget.

  • Coaches and counsels Maintenance Technicians on: Personnel Development, Professional Growth, Performance Reviews, Employee Relations, Customer Service, Empowerment, Tech Service’s Culture, Safety Procedures, Decision Making, Identifying & Solving Problems, Allocating & Using Resources, Managing & Sharing Information, Planning, Improving Work Processes & Technology, Communications, Creativity and any other areas that will assist the Maintenance techs in improving their daily performance and increasing productivity.

  • Supervises routine maintenance and PM schedules and operations. Ensures all Routine, Quick Calls, Preventative & Predictive Maintenance, Discretionary and Emergency repairs are being performed as per OSHA and Universal Quality Standards and as specified on various Weekly Schedules, Quality Reports, Open Work Order Reports, PM Schedules & Discretionary Work Orders. Ensure all Safety related items are completed as soon as possible.

  • Accurate and timely completion of all assigned paperwork. Including but not limited to: Employee evaluations, Employee counseling, Incident reports, Budgets, Quality report updates, Contractor invoices, Receiving of invoices, Work requisitions, Work Authorizations, CCR’s,

  • Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all projects. Negotiate with subcontractors to achieve the best pricing for Universal Studios.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

  • High school REQUIRED.

  • Trade school, continuing education in management and interpersonal skills Preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 Years: experience. Working knowledge of all tools required in the facility maintenance trade.

  • Extensive Commercial / Industrial construction experience (Preferred).
