Role Summary

nFocus is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and systems engineering for the development of the next generation military training product line (Army and Marines). Focus is on the design, development, integration and deployment of Live Virtual Constructive training solutions to the field.

Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions to meet customer requirements and technical performance while staying within schedule and budget constraints

• Provide technical leadership of multi-disciplined engineering teams for major programs and projects from kickoff through successful delivery

• Support development of system architecture, system design and interface development

• Support major milestone reviews in the product development lifecycle such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and GAT

• Support the development of lab infrastructure to support product demos and dry runs for site fieldings

• Ability to support site surveys to utilize for documenting designs and installation plans

• Ability to travel to customer sites and perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and requirements sell-off with end users

• Utilize established best practice engineering processes throughout the engineering development lifecycle

• Design and analyze systems and equipment including computational, network and mechanical/electrical interfaces.

• Conduct trade studies and feasibility studies on system elements such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of designs and the application of these designs

• Perform and lead requirements analysis, develop system requirements and derive requirements for lower-level subsystems, elements, and components

• Be an active participant in technical interchange meetings to interface to other working groups and customer representatives

  Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree engineering discipline

• Requires 8+ years of job-related experience

• Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Army Live Training Product Line (CTIA, LT2)

  CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required.

• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
