The Operations Planning & Excellence Sr. Specialist serves as the planning expert to ensure all work within Operations is planned, aligned, and supported for successful execution. Act as a Gate Keeper on behalf of Operations. Develops metrics and measurement tools that lead to opportunities for improving operating processes toward greater efficiency and effectiveness. Supports the creation of executive presentations and update strategic roadmaps to implement strategic work within Operations. Leads and facilitates brainstorming sessions and helps design solutions for operational problems. Acts as an Operational Excellence Coach and develops Operational Excellence talent and skills throughout Operations. Oversees program implementations within Operations at the Bases. Supports piloting of solutions and ensures successful field implementations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages the Ops Strategic Initiative Intake Process.

• Facilitate Planning Sessions and workshops applying Strategic Planning Tools and Techniques.

• Actively communicates with Sr. Leaders and ensures alignment.

• Support and create content for COO Advisory Council, Ops Planning Meetings, and Strategic Review Board (SRB).

• Supports MOR, Ops Scorecard, Analysis and Coaching.

• Work with functional VPs and Directors on applying Operational Excellence concepts.

• Supports Ops Readiness Monthly Planning sessions.

• Communicates effectively and leads functional leaders through planning and readiness work.

• Provide operators analytical support for performance data & develops improvement actions.

• Crates advanced Power-Point presentations and executive level reports.

• Works with IT Data Teams to source data and create Operations Dashboards

• Supports the Operations Scorecard Process.

• Supports Operations Communications like BMU, Global Ops Connect, and the Operations Newsletter.

• Ensures all work coming to Operations is Ready for Execution

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business and strategic planning skills a plus, supplemented by 4-6 years of experience in aviation or related industry or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 2-3 years of project management experience
