Staples Senior Manager Inside Sales SLED in Orlando, Florida

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own sales and profitability across the book of business assigned to their Sr Account Executives

  • Coach and assist Sr AEs on a weekly 1-on-1 basis on selling methodologies, techniques, opportunity prioritization and strategy, especially towards their most difficult and valuable opportunities and customers.

  • Drive accountability to KPI, sales and profitability attainment.

  • Coordinate with category leaders and VP/GM, Sales by maintaining regular communication regarding largest opportunities through formally scheduled meetings and informal channels

  • Conduct team meetings to share wins, insights, drive corporate initiatives and for the purpose of product learning and development.

  • Incorporate Next Generation Selling Tools & Process to ensure Sr AEs work in most effective, efficient and productive environment possible

  • Hire, Retain & Develop talent by maintaining a robust talent pipeline, motivating top performers, and managing underperformers

  • Monitor emerging marketplace trends and available data to drive decision making and ensure evolution of sales strategy and execution.

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to interface at customer’s most senior levels

  • Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations virtually

  • Consultative selling, solutions selling, insight selling, negotiation and advanced client management skills

  • Ability to set targets, design growth plans and work with product category sales team members

  • Strong business, financial, operations and technology acumen

  • Ability to analyze customer data, business and industry trends to create tailored solutions for customers based upon Staples value proposition

  • Ability to function independently with minimal daily supervision

  • Negotiating: Individual will oversee pricing negotiations for specific sales opportunities – will need to coordinate the bid and quote process and make discretionary pricing decisions based on their knowledge of the account and assessment of future spend potential

  • Strategic Planning: Individual will be responsible for targeting which customers to pursue and when; they will be given a list of accounts and will prioritize based on their own knowledge and understanding of the business

What’s needed - Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years both selling and/or leading a sales team in a Business to Business environment

  • 1+ years leading a sales team

What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree

  • Solid knowledge of Office Supplies including: facility and breakroom, technology products, business furniture, print and promotional products

  • Experience and proven track record of managing programs or business development

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic software tools.
