Marriott Vacations Worldwide Program Manager Learning & Onsite Operations in Orlando, Florida

Position Summary

A member of the professional staff, this position contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Resort Operations, Sales & Marketing etc.) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally, works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.

The Program Manager plays a pivotal role within our team, focusing primarily on our Talent Excellence Center. This individual is responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of the facility, ensuring an optimal environment for learning and development activities. This role extends support to the deployment and management of various learning and operational projects, vital to our presence in over 50 galleries worldwide. This managerial role requires a blend of operational acumen and project management skills, complemented by the ability to partner with IT operations to enhance our programs.

Expected Contributions

  • Oversee and ensure the efficient operation of the Talent Excellence Center's facilities, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring services and products meet our quality and performance standards.

  • Supervise janitorial and facility maintenance services at our Talent Excellence Center in Orlando, ensuring a well-stocked and equipped environment for workshops and events.

  • Provide project management support for various learning and operational initiatives from conception through deployment, including planning, execution, and evaluation stages.

  • Serve as a liaison between the facilities management team and other departments, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and communication to drive project success.

  • Implement and refine project management and tracking systems to improve transparency and outcomes of facility and learning operations projects.

  • Actively contribute to the troubleshooting and problem-solving of facility-related issues at the Talent Excellence Center, employing a hands-on approach to ensure minimal operational disruption.

  • Engage in continuous learning and research to stay ahead of advancements in facility management and learning operations, aiming to incorporate innovative solutions into our operations and offerings.

  • Work closely with the Learning and Development leadership to align facility and operational projects with organizational goals and strategies.

  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Associate degree or higher is preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in facility management, project management, or a closely related field.

  • Proven track record in managing facility operations and vendor relationships.

  • Experience in project management within facility and learning operations domains.

  • Familiarity with global deployment, especially in a retail or gallery setting, is advantageous.

  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment.

  • Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of tech tools and systems used in facility and learning operations.
