The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Oncology Support & Education has responsibility for building synergistic relationships with other Florida- and Multi-State Division oncology support and education program leaders. The director provides regional/divisional leadership for strategy and direct oversight and accountability for the following six programs/areas including clinical/operational responsibilities (directs activities, assures continuity, implements and evaluates programs) and supervision of employees.

  2. Oncology OP Social Work

  3. Oncology Education

  4. AHCI Breast Health Clinic

  5. Survivorship Program

  6. Central Office Management

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Direct oversight of daily operations region/division-wide within the Department of “Oncology Support and Education Services” including: Care Coordination, Outpatient Oncology Social Work, Oncology Education (oncology nursing and patient/family education), AHCI Breast Health Clinic, Survivorship Program and central office management. Accountable for strategic program planning, goal setting, outcome measurements and ongoing management of all programs. The foundation of these programs to be established through a multidisciplinary and evidence- based approach.

  • Development of appropriate relationships and partners to maximize program effectiveness and facilitates program problem resolution across departmental, campus and physician/provider lines.

  • Responsible for fiscal management of Oncology Support and Education department.

  • Responsible for operating all components of “education/support department “ in a fiscally sound manner, with efficient, effective resource utilization; continually evaluating workloads and implementing cost reducing work models.

  • Request and review data from the tumor site specific data bases; benchmark this data to local, state and national outcomes.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare or Business Administration or related area or 10 years of applicable work experience.

  • Five (5) years of recent Oncology Nursing experience or related health care field.

  • Three (3) years of recent management experience

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (Preferred)

  • Current, valid State of Florida License as a registered professional nurse (Preferred)

  • Current Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) ( Preferred)
