Microsoft Corporation Design Lead Specialist in Orlando, Florida

The primary goal of our Specialist Team Unit (STU) in the South Region is to drive revenue for Microsoft's Enterprise Commercial Sales organization. Our South Region team is looking to hire a Design Lead Specialist to activate and scale key envisioning and design components of the Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology (MCEM) in Enterprise Commercial Sales. In this role, you will collaborate with our Specialist Team Unit (STU) and our Account Team Unit (ATU) during early conversations with select customers to synthesize alignment discussions with regard to strategy and business intentions and then lead the design and creation of a variety of critical assets, including demonstrations, storytelling, future state solution concepts, videos and more.

This is a U.S. Southeast regional role that can be based in any of the following states: Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, or North Carolina. Relocation assistance is unavailable for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret discovery interviews and conversations with customers and stakeholders

  • Lead the creative work involved in delivering professional presentations

  • Develop and present immersive and engaging stories, aiding in demonstrations, and building leave-behind assets

  • Produce engagement summary videos as well as solution videos

  • Utilize subject matter expertise in creative design tools and apply the value of design thinking with customers to derive future state solution concepts and prioritization of those concepts.

  • Community definition and asset development across the South for Microsoft Business Applications solutions, thought leadership, networking, territory awareness, evangelizing customer stories, and related.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR equivalent experience.​

  • 5+ years in graphic design or sales engagement asset development with supporting portfolio of work that reflects your ability to synthesize complex concepts and ideas and distill them to themes, immersive stories, video assets, engagement headlines and branding.

  • 2+ years in industry-leading creative design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and the Adobe Creative suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, impeccable organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with a broad team of subject matter experts.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across various functional teams.

  • Experience with human-centered and design thinking workshops as well as envisioning artifact production and delivery.

  • Formal Design Thinking facilitation training and certifications preferred.

  • Significant experience in engaging and influencing executive teams, a track record of entrepreneurial and/or innovation consulting successes, and deep interests beyond business and technology.

​Technology Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
