Responsibilities

Advantor Systems, a V2X Company, is looking for a Chief Engineer (CE) with technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class Integrated Electronic Security Systems.

Advantor Systems provides the highest quality comprehensive proprietary and integrated solutions to help our U.S. Military and government customers protect critical assets through experience, integrity, hard work, and loyalty.

The CE will be directly responsible for requirements assessment and understanding, hardware design, software design, and delivering regulatory compliant sustainable products.

The CE will interface directly with local QA, the Sales Department, and V2X leadership.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Day-to-day management of Hardware and Software Engineering team.

  • Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution of products to cost, schedule, technical requirements.

  • Manage development of robust products with long lifecycles and ease of operation and field support.

  • Develop and manage product and technology strategy plans.

  • Submit periodic reports to management showing status of Product Development progress.

  • 2-5% Domestic/International travel.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead product development through all phases including requirements analysis, system architecture design, requirements allocation and traceability, system / subsystem integration, system verification, system validation, and life-cycle product support.

  • Experience developing and managing technology and product roadmaps in alignment with business strategic plans.

  • Experience developing technical baselines (requirements/architecture); leading development teams; and developing and reviewing Engineering Change Requests.

  • Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) and modeling languages.

  • Bacherlor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent required

  • SQL Database design and application programming.

  • Experience with Agile or DevOps software development.

  • Experience with hardware design (electrical & mechanical), transitioning products from development to production, and obsolescence management.

  • Proficient in modern programming languages.

  • Minimum 5 years software applications / product development experience

  • Experience briefing effectively to all levels of the organization, from peers to senior management.

  • Experience in direct line management activities for engineers, including performance management, career development and resource allocation.

  • Experience mentoring engineers of all grade levels.

  • An active and current US DoD Secret Security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in software and hardware system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic product development for the Defense Industry.

  • Direct experience in concepts of operations development and/or design of system level architecture.

  • Experience presenting at trade shows, industry conferences, and proposal orals.

  • Experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management.

  • Experience with embedded Cybersecurity Solutions, Security Authorization requirements, vulnerability assessments, threat mitigation, and emerging Cybersecurity technologies.

  • Experience with DoD open systems architecture and protocols (FACE, SOSA, MOSA, WOSA, etc.).
