Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Orlando, Florida

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the industry for an Accounts Payable/Accountant to join our team in Orlando, Florida. As an Accounts Payable/Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable department, with a focus on vendor invoice processing, record keeping, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify vendor invoices, ensuring their alignment with company policies.

• Manage and maintain vendor files, including contact information, payment terms, and W-9 forms.

• Enter invoices and payment requests into the accounting system, making sure that they are correctly coded and approved.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and other forms of payment.

• Reconcile vendor statements and timely resolve any discrepancies.

• Support month-end closing activities, including the preparation of AP-related journal entries and accruals.

• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any inquiries or issues related to payments.

• Assist with audit requests by providing the necessary documentation and supporting schedules.

• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accurate and complete records.

• Perform other duties as assigned, related to the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel- must have experience with Pivot Tables , Vlookups

• Experience with an ERP system is required

• Experience with account reconciliation and resolving any discrepancies that may arise

• Ability to process invoices efficiently and accurately

• Experience in data entry, ensuring all necessary information is recorded correctly and promptly

• Skills in coding invoices, correctly classifying and recording them for future reference

• Proficiency in conducting check runs to ensure all outstanding payment requests are settled

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks related to accounts payable

• Good time management skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
