Description

We are offering a fully remote contract employment opportunity, for an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. Operating within the industry, this role involves performing a variety of routine and non-routine accounting activities in accounts payable or a related financial area. The successful candidate will be expected to perform clerical duties, process invoices, and maintain accurate records, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Execute various clerical duties such as scanning documents and making copies.

• Prepare checks for payroll and payables.

• Manage the processing of invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

• Post information to accounting ledgers including payables and general ledger.

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records.

• Perform ad hoc financial activities as required.

• Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in accounts payable.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Report to Supervisor or Manager regularly about account status and updates.

Requirements • Proficiency in performing Accounts Payable (AP) functions is essential.

• Familiarity with payroll procedures and practices.

• Experience with invoice and check processing.

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial and accounting functions when required.

• Skilled in executing clerical duties such as scanning documents, maintaining ledgers, etc.

• Understanding of general ledger and other accounting practices.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
