JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The ideal candidate will work as an Instructional Systems Designer within a multi functional team to design and develop courseware and associated training products. They will collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs), other instructional system designer, multimedia developers, 3D artists, systems/software engineers, and stakeholders to develop and deliver courseware.

Designs learning content throughout the ADDIE life cycle
Applies effective training methodologies to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities based on the needs assessment of the audience and job task analysis
Develops and reviews learning objectives, storyboards, and other training development artifacts
Coordinates with SMEs to develop content and for learning objectives
Works with SMEs to develop engaging learning scenarios to provide realistic context for learning objectives
Designs, develops, implements, and interprets evaluation and assessment instruments
Designs interactive learning activities supporting the individual's performance requirements and develops storyboards in support of those activities
Prepares training such as Training Project Plan (TPP), Training Course Control Document (TCCD), Course Training Task List (CTTL), Instructional Media Design Package (IMDP), Training Situation Requirements Analysis (TSRA)
Execution of AIM I, AIM II, Learning Object Model (LOM), or Content Planning Module (CPM) to support development of training documentation artifacts
Develop and support ILT course material development including lesson plans, course of instructions (COI), handouts, presentation material, trainee guides, and other instructor guides
May perform on-site ILT functions
Supports and responds to Quality Assurance during product testing
Responds to and resolves customer issues in learning content
Coordinate with a variety of engineers, artists, and project professionals to employ a wide range of skills and software tools in support of the visual and technical designs for various IMI Level training scenarios
Work within schedule constraints to achieve assigned objectives
Leverage and adhere to relevant Navy training Instructions, Manuals, and Guidance
Desired Skills and Requirements
Master's Degree in instructional design, adult education, or similar program. Proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Capable of working in multi-discipline team environment
Capable of working with stakeholders at all levels
Proven proficiency in PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Travel is not required for this position. This can be subject to change with notice to the employee.
Desired Education and Experience
Master's Degree in instructional design, adult education, or similar program.
