Employment Opportunity

The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for part-time and seasonal Laborers. These are non-benefited positions responsible for performing a variety of manual duties in the Public Works Department. Hired applicants may elect or be assigned to one of the following sections: Cemetery, Parks, or Forestry. Depending on specific section and assignment, duties may be related to park and cemetery maintenance, sprinkler system repairs, painting, cleaning.

Qualifications

May require a valid driver license and have a good driving record.  Must be able to perform heavy manual labor outside during spring, summer and fall months in all weather conditions. Due to equipment operation, applicants must be at least 17 years of age; some positions require being at least 18 years of age.  The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background investigation.
