Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Video Production Assistant! The Assistant will help in the operations of audio and video production. Primary duties are related to audio recording, mixing, microphones, and communications. This position will mix audio for live broadcast, location sound, and live-to-tape productions. Will also operate cameras and other video production equipment. Helps set up and strike audio and video equipment for events.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Operates Camera.

• Assists in setting up or striking productions.

• Performs audio mixing, editing, graphics and lighting.

• Performs audio and video live streaming.

• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation with a high school diploma or GED. Six months of work experience related to the job duties.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

Knowledge

• Knowledge of camera operation.

• Knowledge of camera movement.

• Knowledge of framing.

• Knowledge of Video Production Equipment (Cameras, VTR, Audio Equipment, Lights, etc..)

Skills

• Skills in camera operation.

• Skills in camera movement.

• Skills in framing.

• Skills in basic editing.

Abilities

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work in a team environment.
