An exciting opportunity to work as a Maintenance Technician with an expanding Nutraceutical company within a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment on the 3 rd shift!

Location : Clackamas County, OR

Job type : Contract-hire

Shift: Sun-Thurs 9pm-5:30am

Pay Rate : $35/hr. - $45/hr. (with a $2/hr. shift differential for 3rd shift)- $40+ for low voltage certification

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is critical to ensure the safe, efficient, and productive operation of all production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, PLC, and pneumatic systems. The Maintenance Technician I will also play a key role in training maintenance personnel and supporting production teams to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on plant utilities and production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic system

  • Utilize test instruments and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively

  • Order parts as needed, look up part numbers, obtain quotes, and prepare requisition requests to ensure the facility maintains an adequate spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime

  • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely availability of parts and supplies

  • Provide direct training to Maintenance Technicians and assist in the development of junior maintenance team members

  • Assist production teams in maintaining daily schedules and troubleshooting equipment to ensure efficient and quality output

  • Respond to emergency/unscheduled repairs during production to minimize downtime and ensure the continuity of operations

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance and adjustments to machinery to avoid unplanned downtime and extend equipment life

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in manufacturing technology, or a High School Diploma combined with relevant technical training related to maintenance

  • Industry experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, food manufacturing, or aerospace, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment

  • Strong experience with mechanical systems, PLCs, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Proficiency with low voltage electrical systems (240-480V preferred)

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems

  • Must be able to pass job-related tests and certifications, including GMP-related inspections and qualifications. Requalification may be required annually

  • Experience in an FDA/cGMP regulated environment is highly preferred

  • Must be available for on-call duties or working extended hours, including weekends, depending on production and maintenance requirements
