Bon Secours Mercy Health Program Manager - Oncology Outreach and Mobile Mammography in Oregon, Ohio

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Program Manager, Oncology Outreach and Mobile Mammography, under the direction pf the oncology ancillary services manager and in collaboration with the oncology director, medical directors, and imaging leaders, is responsible for the strategic direction and administration of the Mobile Mammography Program and provides coordination of all wellness oriented educational, recreational, and social events for Oncology Services. The program manager will work with the Mercy team, community agencies, and businesses to provide quality health programming, screenings, and resources. In addition, the coordinator serves as a liaison to the patients, family, and the medical team. This position includes oral and written presentations, health screenings, and preparation and implementation of programs, mobile mammography, and oncology. The coordinator serves as a required member of the Network Cancer Committee, responsible for standards required by the American Colleague of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

Essential Job Functions

  • ​Contacts existing, previous, and potential new customers (businesses) identifying their needs and presents the business case for the Mobile Mammography Program.

  • Develops recommendations on outreach strategies that secure, maintain, and increase patient referral volumes.

  • Will work collaboratively with the leadership and Medical Director to coordinate program activities to achieve and maintain the highest clinical outcomes and superior patient experiences.

  • Interprets needs and interests of patients and the community to provide quality educational/screening programming and resources.

  • Assesses statistical data and reports. Prepares reports on a regular and timely basis and presents appropriate data and outcomes to the quarterly cancer committee.

  • Maintains active communication among all medical staff, interdepartmental staff, to ensure barriers are removed and issues are resolved.

  • Responsible for organizing directing and ensuring that oncology/screening patients receive guidance throughout the care continuum.

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Directs short- and long-term business planning for mobile mammography program. Performs financial analysis and identifies opportunities for growth in market share and revenue. Facilitates interdepartmental teams contributing to the planning process to insure input from appropriate constituencies.

  • Collaborates with leadership for marketing planning in association with Marketing Department. Works closely with Marketing Department on the development of educational/collateral materials, and identification of physicians/staff for public relations activities. Participates in evaluation of the marketing plan.
