In the role of Senior Accountant, you will handle the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow. You will also establish budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Superior analytical skills are crucial to this position. Your responsibilities
Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Expertise in account reconciliation
Deep understanding of Analyze Financial Statements
Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred but not required
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Efficient in ERP systems
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
