1st Shift, Full-Time (Salaried Exempt)

    RESPONSIBILITY:

    Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.

  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

  • Design tools and fixtures needed to achieve manufacturing goals.

  • Investigates and implements facility projects.

  • Analyze and recommend facility layout.

    EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

  • Skills in analyzing production flow, data and processes for improvements and documentation; investigating manufacturing problems and coordinate appropriate corrective action; trouble shooting and recommending repair on production equipment.

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Two years’ relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering preferred.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes that focus on CNC Milling and turning preferred.

  • Experience with automation and/or robotics processes preferred.
