Community Based Care of Brevard, Inc. Circuit 9 Director of Adoption and Guardianship Assistance Program (GAP) in Orange/Osceola County, Florida

Annual Salary: $72,000/yr Position Summary: The Circuit 9 Director of Adoption and Guardianship Assistance Program (GAP) lead, guides and directs Adoption and GAP operations in Orange and Osceola Counties, ensuring strategic planning to achieve systematic improvement and efficiency. This position provides oversight and support to Family Partnerships of Central Florida’s Adoption Team to achieve performance improvement, ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and monitors outcomes and targets and deliverables in timely permanency. This position directly supervises the GAP Specialist and participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities to ensure effective service provision and improved outcomes for children and families. This position ensures evidence-based, evidence-informed, promising, and innovative practices in providing pre and post-adoptive support and participates in the 3rd tier on call rotation. The Circuit 9 Director of Adoption and GAP reports to the Case Management and Permanency Administrator. Technical/Functional Expectations: Recruitment of Unmatched Children: Oversight of Family-Match to match children with adoptive families and bridge any gaps between recruitment and placement to improve unmatched children with prospective adoption families. Oversight of Recruitment of Special Needs Children and Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Team: Guides WWK Recruiters to increase adoptions from foster care with a focus primarily on older children, children with mental health needs, as well as children who are part of sibling groups, and children with special needs. Adoption Subsidy and Enhanced Subsidy Request: Reviews and approves adoption home studies and subsidy requests and submits to Information and Eligibility Team for approval. Reviews enhanced subsidy requests, submits to DCF for consideration following agency internal review. Adoption Assistance Review Committee (AARC): Leads AARC meetings to provide consultation and assistance to adoption staff on any child-specific adoptive home study recommended for denial, or adoptive situations which present challenges. Facilitate Pre and Post Adoption Review Meetings: Facilitate monthly pre and post adoption review meetings to identify any challenges/ barriers in the adoption finalization process and devise a plan of action through cadence of accountability. Annual Adoption Activities: Ensure agency’s annual adoption targets are met/exceeded and complete Maintenance Adoption Subsidy (MAS) projections. Support inquiries on Extended MAS, MAS or any AFCAR errors and devise a plan for corrections accordingly. Participate and help guide and support efforts in agency Annual Adoption Celebration. GAP Initial and Re-determination: Ensures f amilies meet eligibility criteria for GAP, access benefits initially and ongoing without any lapses. Revi ews and approves all GAP and EGAP eligibility to include enhanced requests. Reviews and approves all bi-annual and annual redetermination for GAP and EGAP families. Data Collection/Analysis -Collects and aggregates data to evaluate trends, gaps, system performance, and diagnose areas where improvement is indicated. Recommends courses of action to improve processes, systems, and results. Non-concur Staffing : Participate in the Non-Concur staffing’s. Valid Driver's License - Essential: A valid driver's license is required. Strong Computer Skills: Strong computer skills are required to create reports, presentations, graphs, spreadsheets, and other documentation. Project Management: Project management is required to meet and sustain performance goals. Educational and Experience Requirements: MA/MS – master’s degree or equivalent required in human services related field. LMHC/ LCSW preferred 5 years Management/Leadership experience required. 8 years’ Child Welfare experience required. Physical Requirements: 1. Lifting 20 pounds 2. Carrying 20 pounds 3. Grasping 4.
