Description We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team in Opelika, Alabama. The role will involve critical functions such as payroll coordination and HRIS management. The successful candidate will be familiar with UKG Pro and UKG Ready, and have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing for both weekly and bi-monthly payroll.

• Utilize HRIS (UKG Pro and UKG Ready) for various HR functions, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

• Liaise with various field locations across the country, providing necessary payroll support.

• Manage daily time recording for both salaried and hourly employees.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create reports and perform data analysis related to payroll and HR functions.

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline HR and payroll processes.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

• Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests.

• Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes. Requirements • Proficiency in bi-Monthly Payroll and Weekly Payroll processing is essential.

• Experience with UKG Pro and UKG Ready HRIS systems is required.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and formulas.

• Demonstrated knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

• Ability to handle data with confidentiality.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once.

• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Prior experience in a similar HR Specialist role preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is desired.
