A leading company in the construction industry is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a background in construction to join their team.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices, and experience with construction accounting practices, lien waivers, subcontractor agreements, and job costing.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, including coding, matching, and entering vendor invoices.

• Prepare and process electronic payments, checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with subcontractors, and vendors to resolve billing and payment issues.

• Manage lien waivers, retainage payments, AIA and subcontractor agreements.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliation of accounts.
