Summary

Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in all warehouse and receiving/packout/shipping functions by supervising the duties listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

Keeps and manages accurate inventory levels by analyzing reports, investigating system shortages, BOMs, inventory discrepancies, and conducting cycle counts.

Safely loads/unloads product and items into and out of pallets, containers, flatbed and box trucks

Fills requisitions, work orders, parts shortages, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, color, or product code

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages

Properly processes and routes parts, paperwork (IE: production orders, distribution orders, transfer orders, shortages and other requests) in a timely manner to all departments, sites, and locations

Examines outgoing/incoming shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications

Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck or overhead cranes to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area

Maintains inventory of shipping/receiving materials and supplies

Oversee special projects and upgrades

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly Supervises 2 Leads and approximately 16 employees in the Warehouse and Packout Department. Successfully carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilitiesinclude interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Additional duties include providing a safe work environment for the department and, if ecessary, complete all investigations and paperwork associated with workers compensation claims.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and basic knowledge of computers is priority, experience with the LN system or an equivalent ERP is preferred.
