Summary:

Performsinstallation and assemblyof components for towing equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifies functionality of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.
  • Performs inspections before unit is sent for final inspection.
  • Builds subassemblies, route hoses, and wires.
  • Cuts, drills, and fabricates brackets according to order specifications.
  • Connects electrical wiring and cables.
  • Installs lighting fixtures, controls, wiring, switches, and junction boxes.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have understanding of hydraulics and 12-volt DC electrical systems.
  • Must have basic hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, sockets, wiring tools, etc.).
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
