Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance Technician in Ontario, Ohio
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Maintenance Technician for our client in Ontario, OH!!
The primary focus of this position is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and support equipment. Duties in this position are occasionally repetitive, requiring analysis and use of individual judgement. Specific duties in this position include performing machine and preventative maintenance, basic electrical and building repairs, communication with management and support staff, testing equipment and ensuring proper operation as well as assisting in production wherever needed. Supervision ranges from close to general.
Essential Duties:
Troubleshoot and repair production and support equipment.
Work with production employees, maintenance employees on other shifts, and managers to ensure proper communication of issues when they arise.
Ensure all safety standards are maintained in work area.
Perform job duties as required.
Perform production duties wherever needed when essential maintenance is not required on machinery.
Physical Requirements:
Coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
Frequently lift and move up to 15 lbs. above shoulder height, 30 lbs. to shoulder height, and 80 lbs. to waist height unaccompanied.
Regularly stand/walk for duration of shift.
Frequently required to stoop, climb, kneel, balance on ladders, platforms, and slippery surfaces.
Work Environment:
Fast paced production environment.
Regularly required to work with or around chemicals.
Work area may be wet/dry.
Regularly works with others.
The noise level in the laboratory is generally moderate, however ranges from quiet to loud depending on the location of work being performed.
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
Occasionally works under extreme weather conditions while performing duties outside year-round.
Safety and Ergonomic Requirements:
Must practice safe work practices at all times and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
Required to wear appropriate PPE while in laboratory and performing duties.
Attend and participate in all required safety trainings.
Follow all personal dress requirements according to the established dress code and safety requirements
Ensure proper disposal of hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
High school or equivalent preferred.
2-5 years previous related experience and/or training with proven ability to properly maintain and clean facilities and grounds.
Knowledge in use of various cleaning chemicals required.
Ability to use floor buffer preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write short correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
Math Ability:
Basic ability to add and subtract.
Understand fractional and ratio units of measurements.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills.
Computer Skills:
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic understanding of online purchasing.
Shift:
- Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm
Pay Details: $20.50 to $21.50 per hour
