Position Available: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Assists the Health and Wellness Staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating an efficient Wellness Program consistent with student needs and Job Corps goals and requirements. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the Medical Examination of studentsScreens patients and refers them to Center Physicians, Dentists, Health and Wellness Managers, or Career CounselorsObserve, record, and report patient vital signs, symptoms, and behaviorsPerforms first aid treatment as neededAssist the Physician with patient exams; prepare the patient for tests and examinationsGuide the students with personal health and hygienePrepare and administer prescribed medicationsMaintain medical equipment and inventory of supplies and medications Maintain accurate medical recordsProvide input for case management of student health issues Promote projects that support health and safety throughout the centerNote: This job description is not all-inclusive.
