Position: HVAC Sales Specialist ($45k - $50k + Commission)

Salary: $45k - $50k plus Commission

DESCRIPTION:

As the Sales Specialist, your role is to sell new and replacement HVAC equipment to our residential and light commercial customers.

You will be working with warm leads from our thousands of existing customers while following up on weekly hot leads that come in from our technicians in the field.

The territory is Sidney, Norwich and Oneonta. Mirabito has a large number of convenience stores and 4 Home Comfort divisions in the territory so you will be well branded.

You will be expected to work within the company’s sales process and procedures to drive new business and growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - include but are not limited to:

  • Provide knowledge and consultation to existing and potential customers to develop integrated HVAC system solutions for equipment, parts, and service needs.

  • Provide and present a professional quote to existing and potential customers in a timely manner that clearly defines the solutions and options you have developed and priced. All assigned quotes / projects will be priced and bid per the companies pricing plan and structure as directed by management.

  • Work to bring all existing and new bids/proposals to a successful conclusion by monitoring, tracking, and following through on any additional needs or adjustments.

  • Serve as a liaison to our customer and a resource to our installation staff by providing them with accurate and meaningful job information. Including but not limited to completed job surveys, job forms, pictures, visiting job sites, and other ongoing communication needs.

  • Serve as a liaison to our customer and sales coordinators by providing them with all necessary equipment warranty and utility/manufacturer rebate information to ensure that they are submitted for in a timely manner upon completion and payment of completed project.

  • Initiates required action for response to customer service requests for change orders, including the maintenance of customer information files and communicates changes to the appropriate personnel/departments.

  • Conduct post sale follow up to ensure all sales agreements have been completed and that we have met the customer’s expectations. Includes visiting job sites to complete job walk throughs and following through on any needed adjustments, customer requests, or follow up service to ensure the work has been completed as contracted.

  • Work hand in hand with management, sales coordinators, service technicians, and installers to ensure we are providing an excellent customer experience.

  • Meet or exceed all pre-defined Key Performance Indicators. They include, but are not limited to sales goal/quota, average ticket, closing ratio, self-generated revenue, gross profit margin, and customer follow up visits.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures 100% of the time.

  • Reports to the HVAC Sales Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES- include but are not limited to:

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing, new, or potential sales customers/prospects.

  • Continually work to improve and adjust the content of their sales presentations to help achieve or exceed key performance indicators.

  • Keeps company management informed of results by communicating with their Sales Coordinator, Branch Operation Manager(s), and Sales Manager on a daily basis.

  • Meet and exceed budgeted sales goal – monthly, quarterly, and annually.

  • Recommends changes in products, services, and sales processes by evaluating their individual results and competitive developments.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.

  • Maintain professional sales and technical knowledge by attending company meetings and attending sales, vendor, & manufacturer trainings as assigned.

  • Establish personal networks by participating in professional business and networking organizations, along with attending industry related meetings and conventions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- include but are not limited to:

  • A minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience.

  • Preferably selling HVAC or other construction related projects and at a minimum must be mechanically incline to be able to speak to skilled trades questions.

  • The ability to work well under pressure, be able to juggle many projects simultaneously, and have excellent interpersonal communications skills.

  • Must have excellent customer service and negotiation skills, along with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout assigned market area with reliable transportation.
