Description

SUMMARY:Directs and oversees the implementation and provision of prescribed rehabilitation/prevocational services within the Agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform DSP and prevocational coordinator duties and responsibilities as needed.

  • Oversees the Agency’s community and site based HCBS waiver services and ensures regulatory requirements.

  • Maintains and oversees program documentation and service delivery

  • Develops and/or revises procedures and work practices to ensure compliance.

  • Provide safe transportation, first aid, CPR, and SCIP-R as needed.

  • Conducts quarterly file reviews.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:One to three years’ experience working with intellectual/ developmental disability population. Prior experience in supervision of staff strongly preferred. Previous work within any or the following DOH, OPWDD or ACESS-VR vocational programs highly advantageous but not required. NYS driver's license with 12-months driving history.
