What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Personal and Business Banking team. As an Area Sales Manager, you will work with your team of professional Mortgage Advisors to generate sales strategies and activities to assist in meeting and exceeding short and long term sales targets, financial and strategic objectives, and revenue and profit growth. You will deliver top tier customer satisfaction and ensure the recruitment, development & retention of a group of top performing commissioned sales professionals.

You can effectively perform all work activities remotely, and will only be required to be on-site on an occasional basis. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How you’ll succeed

  • Coaching - Assist your team to achieve all mortgage sales performance objectives, service level metrics, financial results and other performance data. Ensure objectives are communicated with clarity and provide necessary information to understand trends, issues and opportunities within the business.

  • Relationship Management - Establish reciprocal business relationships with real estate firms, and other reputable business sources, for the purpose of identifying suitable customer prospects for residential mortgage financing. Responsible for acquiring and managing referral partnerships.

  • Recruitment - Attract, align, motivate and retain a team of mortgage professionals. Develop competencies to meet present and future sales objectives for a remote-based national sales force.
