ASSOCIATED STAFFING INC Special Education Teacher in Omaha, Nebraska

Associated Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our client's team. This role offers a competitive annual salary range of $55,000 - $60,000.00 with a standard schedule of 8 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing the unique educational needs of students. Your responsibilities will include planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating educational programs to support students' long-term academic success. We are looking for candidates who embody compassion, creativity and a commitment to fostering student growth.

Requirements for the Special Education Teacher position:

  • Must have a Special Education Generalist Endorsement for Grades 7-12.
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Prior experience in educational or community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities is required.

Skills and Abilities for the Special Education Teacher position:

  • Ability to assess educational needs and plan interventions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for coordinating educational services and making informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in developing and evaluating Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and medication administration monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher:

  • Collaborate with the Educational Service Director to assess and plan Education Services.
  • Provide training and services tailored to the needs of the student population.
  • Ensure compliance with County, State and Federal regulations.
  • Participate in program evaluations and investigations.
  • Facilitate student intake to understand individual needs thoroughly.
  • Support student participation in program planning.
  • Uphold legal and human rights standards for all individuals.
  • Conduct staff training and development initiatives.
  • Manage education services to meet IEP goals promptly.
  • Oversee program quality and operational systems.
  • Coordinate with service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Keep Educational Service Director informed of significant matters.
