Aerotek Diesel Technician in Omaha, Nebraska
Diesel Mechanic - $40/hr - Entry Level Positions Available - Start ASAP
Description:
Diesel mechanics will be required to diagnose and repair engines on a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. They will be responsible for completing daily work orders given to them every morning, the most important repairs will be listed first. They will be performing basic oil changes, tire changes, and making hydraulic hoses for more entry level candidates. More experienced technicians will be performing engine changeovers in addition to traditional truck and heavy equipment engine repairs, they will be asked to complete other repairs. This will include fixing/replacing air conditioners, hydraulic hoses, tracks, tires, etc.. Other possible equipment that will need repairs will be small engines (jumping jacks, generators, pumps, etc..) This person will also be required to keep their workspace clean and organized (sweeping, keeping fluid contained in pans and buckets, cleaning up any spills, returning portable lifts to their designated areas, etc..). Keeping up on supplies and asking leadership for new orders will also be part of their day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working on diesel engines
Ability to use/read a diesel laptop with proficiency
Candidates will need to have their own diesel tools (wrenches, impact wrench, ratchets, sockets, adapters, screwdrivers, pry bar, pick set, pliers, wire strippers, torque wrench, multimeter, etc..)
