CHI Health would love to add a Part-Time Arrhthmia Tech II to our Cardiology Clinic located at our CUMC-Bergan campus located off of 77th & Mercy!

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8a-430p, No weekends, No holidays & No call!

The assigned days will be according to clinic needs and the days worked may vary.

Job Summary / Purpose

Performs all tasks related to Arrhythmia Tech I. Under supervision, trains to interrogate, program and report on pacemaker and ICD interrogations. Download, evaluate and report on remote ICD interrogations. Create reports on device evaluations performed in outreach clinics and by company representatives. Troubleshoots diaphragmatic stimulation. Occasional travel is required.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Covers all aspects of an Arrhythmia Tech I as outlined in the job description.

  • Conduct patient education and instruction on the use of cardiac monitors, pacemakers and ICD's, including the use of trans-telephonic transmitter.

  • Interrogate, program and report on cardiac device evaluations.

  • Notify Provider of significant patient symptoms and/or arrhythmia and remote alerts and address these in a timely manner.

  • Analyze rhythm strips for appropriate device function. Troubleshoot trans-telephonic pacemaker transmissions, remote monitoring and in office device interrogations.

  • Manage all aspects of remote monitoring services including download, analyze and report on remote interrogations.

  • Follow policies and procedures to maintain efficiency and provide high quality of care in the cardiology department in conjunction with the AHA, ACC and HRS guidelines.

  • Facilitate upgrades with IT on devices and software.

  • Analyze and create reports on outreach and company representative device evaluations

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manageror physician/provider.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire

  • 1 year of previous cardiology experience required

  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, conductive system, and ability to interpret cardiac arrhythmias

  • Knowledge of EKGs and/or stress testing

  • May require local travel

Pay Range

$18.74 - $25.77 /hour
