This project position is funded through June 30, 2025. Position Purpose This position is responsible for translating college business needs into technical solutions with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 (M365) applications and services. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders to foster innovation and support the evolution of M365 cloud technologies within the organization. Along with other global and application administrators, this position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the configuration, access, expansion, use, and security of the M365 platform used by all staff, faculty, and students. Additionally, they will offer ongoing support and training to ensure the successful adoption of these technologies. Nature and Scope Essential Functions Develop and support solutions to enhance college file shares, knowledge management, and internal communications using the M365 ecosystem (approximately 65%) Use Business Analysis/Business Process Improvement to determine optimal business results through the utilization of advanced technology and improved business processes. Capture and document "as-is" and "to-be" business processes. Document functional and technical requirements using standard methodologies and tools. Propose appropriate and innovative solutions. Review SharePoint platform configuration, integrating applications and document library creation. Grant appropriate access to document libraries and setting permissions. Assist with the migration of content from various sources on-prem file servers, google drive, drop box, personal computers, etc. to M365 environment as designed. Assist users in designing and deploying appropriate document library meta-data and access control. Interact with customers across the organization in cooperative efforts to disseminate detailed information regarding new and existing technologies and available workflows with M365. Develop training materials and documentation in conjunction with other OIT departments such as the Enterprise Applications/Integrations, Technology Support Center, Technology Operations, and Academic Technologies teams to promote and enhance use of M365 products and services. Provide M365 support and end-user training including creation and delivery of training plans, materials, and documentation. Work with M365 governance teams to design and deploy new M365 solutions to improve ways of working in the organization.
