Summary:

 Accountable for BU6 MAHLE Aftermarket Plant Operations to achieve the performance objectives (KPI's) according to MAHLE Corporate Guidelines and Policies.

  The Plant Manager provides leadership and strategic direction ensuring the plant properly manages safety and environmental programs, meeting customer requirements with exceptional, on time service and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Develop, revise, and support the Annual & Strategic Plan for the Plant (Plant P&L, CAPEX, Headcount, Operation Expenses).

  Develop long / short-term operational objectives (1- 5-year plans) consistent with existing sales, projected forecasts, operations footprint and logistics strategy, inventory requirements and other factors involved in attainment of Company sales / profit objectives. Define Plant Objectives (KPI´s Operations Balanced Scorecard) by overseeing day-to-day operations to achieve strategic business plan focusing on capacity requirements, state of the art mfg. capability, and world-class performance on key indicators. Accurate forecasting / planning of operations based on releases to achieve efficient, economical, and timely production and availability of products. Achieve satisfaction level expected by Customers, Suppliers, Government, Corporate, Employees, and Community.

  Achieve Customer Satisfaction levels (quantity / quality / service) according to requirements and objectives. Ensure conformity in manufacturing / operations processes of products by creating roadmaps in every functional area, comprehensive analysis / prioritization of key opportunities for the facility.

  Work directly with plant management to plan, implement and maintain a strong shop floor morale which includes personnel requirements, material needs, facility and maintenance needs, tooling and equipment needs for a multi-shift operation. Promote and ensure effective departmental operations through selection, training, development, and motivation of people. Direct and maintain the Environmental System ISO45001. Acquaint and enforce the policies of the company established by MAHLE Group. Manage capital expense budgeting and forecasting efforts through close collaboration with region controlling for each economic plan year. Analyze, justify and recommend capital equipment needs and plant expansion (or restructuring) requirements to expand manufacturing capabilities and improve production efficiency. Acquaint and enforce the internal and external compliance (Government) of the Plant. Manages growth objectives, ensuring compliance with company stand rds for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery. Ability to provide coaching and training functions to facility supervisory staff.

  Direct workforce by providing team leadership skills. 

 

Requirements

: Bachelor's degree:

  engineering, business administration or industry related. 10 years' experience with production / assembly and logistics / distribution; automotive industry desired. 5 years in a Plant Manager or Director role similar position. 5 years' experience 3PL Management & oversight. Experience with shuttles and automation / engineering preferred. Global or multi-national experience (Canada / Mexico key). Budgeting ($25-40M) and Inventory Mgt. ($60-80M) experience
