Robert Half Office Manager/Full Charge Bookkeeper in Olive Branch, Mississippi

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Manager/Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our client in Olive Branch, MS. The role involves all aspects of accounting and office management. This position is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of our financial activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivables

• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements

• Prepare and file Sales and Use tax returns, and local government filings

• Assist with year-end closing processes and generate financial reports and statements as needed

• Track commissions due and maintain records

• Oversee insurance coverage maintenance and manage subscriptions to 3rd party safety compliance agencies

• Act as a liaison between customers and staff, fostering strong relationships

• Maintain the Field Service Schedule ensuring optimal resource allocation

• Utilize various software systems including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suites to perform accounting functions and maintain records

• Execute billing functions and manage accounts payable and receivable activities efficiently

• Apply strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and multitask effectively

Requirements

• Must possess at least 2 years of experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role or similar capacity

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred

• QuickBooks Certification preferred

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Must have a solid understanding of accounting functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Capability to perform bank reconciliations accurately

• Proven experience in executing billing functions effectively

• Some knowledge of human resource functions (Health Insurance, PTO, Onboarding)

• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
