Deadline to Apply: June 28, 2024 The Environmental Director maintains the building(s), equipment and utilities in good working order. Duties include the maintenance of community ground in accordance with the community's maintenance budget, policies and state and federal regulations. Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the community. Orders supplies and equipment as needed. Maintains the building in good repair and keep free of hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems. Performs routine maintenance and repair work, such as painting, minor carpentry repair work, changing light bulbs and various other routine maintenance tasks and monthly maintenance checks. Keeps the grounds looking neat and cared for. Coordinates and participates in fire safety programs and fire drills. Arranges for and manages outside repair, maintenance and construction services according to procedures. Performs tasks within the physical demand requirements of the position including standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects for extended periods of time. Must possess a valid driver's license as some driving will be necessary. Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly. Oversees the housekeeping staff. High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in HVAC, electrical and plumbing preferred.
