Description Large non-profit with amazing location, culture, and benefit package is looking for a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion helping others and is mission driven. This Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties and general ledger work including AP/AR, journal entries, prepaid accounts, preparing and analyzing financial statements, month-end close, and more.

There will be quite a bit of communication with other departments due to the complexity of their fund accounting process and the Senior Accountant will need to be a liaison between accounting and operations to make sure their funds, endowments, grants, etc. are being managed correctly. Ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years of accounting experience. Experience with non-profit is preferred but not required and knowledge or Blackbaud is beneficial. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant or relevant field

• Proficient in using MS Excel for data management and financial analysis

• Experience with Blackbaud software for accounting tasks and financial management

• Proven ability in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Experience in handling bank reconciliations to verify the company's financial records match the bank records

• Ability to prepare and manage journal entries for accurate record-keeping and financial reporting

• Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice processing, payment handling, and vendor communication

• Experience managing Accounts Receivable (AR) including billing, collection, and revenue recognition

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, to ensure precision in financial reporting and analysis

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
