Dobson Fiber Fiber to the Home Engineering Manager in OKC, Oklahoma

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The FTTH Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of Fiber to the Home networks. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that all deployments are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The FTTH Engineering Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable fiber networks that meet customer demands. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Lead the design and implementation of FTTH networks, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and cost control. Oversee the creation of detailed network designs and plans, including fiber routing, network topology, and equipment specifications. Ensure designs meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to source materials, equipment, and services. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project specifications. Develop and manage budgets for FTTH projects, ensuring financial objectives are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Create reports to give updates on project status and deliverables Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes, technologies, and methodologies. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of Telecommunications experience managing engineering teams for large scale FTTH markets SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams, with strong skills in team building, mentoring, and performance management. Vendor Management experience is required Knowledge of Aerial and Underground builds including PLA, OTMR, NESC standards, HDD Bore, Plow, Trench Experience working in Crescent link, ARC pro GIS, Circuit Vision, Smartsheets, Service Now and Microsoft Office Ability to manage deliverables across different department needs on a regular basis
