Are you the type of person who likes to work with others to improve processes that make an impact on business performance? In this role you will use proven lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and methodologies to make an impact on the way we do our work while supporting improvements in the areas of safety, quality, cost and delivery. We’re looking for team members with manufacturing knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

What You’ll Do

  1. Perform project work in support of the implementation of lean principles in a manufacturing environment.

  2. Assist in the preparation of process improvement activities including, but not limited to kaizen events, follow-up to events, and event audits.

  3. Lead, assist, and participate on kaizen teams.

  4. Participate in the creation of a lean work environment through the development of work stations, material presentation, metrics, and workplace organization needs.

  5. Train and mentor team members on lean practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • High School diploma required.

  • Minimum two years previous job experience implementing lean principles and participation on Kaizen events.

    • In-depth knowledge of Lean principles and the ability to train/lead others to better understand these principles.
  • Ability to effectively manage Kaizen event planning and preparation, event archival, and follow-up.

  • Ability to influence other team members without direct authority across all functions and areas of the business to be able to implement improvements and sustain results.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
