Purpose: This position reports to the Production and Logistic Manager of the Columbus, Ohio facility. Under general supervision, is responsible for normal warehouse functions, which include loading & unloading trucks, wrapping pallets, housekeeping of dock area, cycle counting, and the shipping of products that vary from office documents to finished industrial machinery. Essential Duties: All job duties should be completed in adherence to safety, continuous improvement, quality, standards. • Receiving: Inspecting packages, verifying orders, and unloading trucks • Shipping: Preparing items for shipment, such as packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage • Inventory management: Keeping track of stock levels, scanning barcodes, and updating records • Documentation: Preparing documents like work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders • Communication: Collaborating with others involved in the shipment and receipt process, such as logistics technicians, customer service representatives, and service providers • Organization: Maintaining a clean and organized area, and requisition of shipping supplies • Other duties as assigned.
