Insight Global Desktop Support Technician in Odessa, Texas
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their IT operations support team to work on-site in Odessa & Midland Site locations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity;
May install software or perform hardware testing ;
Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors;
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities;
Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
This individual will be on site 5 days a week at the Odessa or Midland location (ten minutes away from one another) based on needs. Hourly Pay for this role is $30/hour.

Skills and Requirements
3+ years experience as a Service Desk Technician or relative experience
Strong Windows 11 Installation and Troubleshooting skills
Familiarity/Experience working with SAP
Strong Customer Service, Verbal written communication and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
Knowledge of hardware support relating to printers or monitors and software support with basic MS suite, OS installations
Experience or knowledge imaging PCs
Experience with Inventory Management and Documentation Active directory, IN Tune is a plus
Previous experience working on site with face to face interactions null
