The Senior Analyst, Materials/Planning for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for procurement, inventory management and supply chain planning for raw materials, WIP and finished goods. This includes vendor management: issuing/management of purchase orders, timely receipt of materials and cost management. Inventory optimization: balance material availability with cost, continuously improving using best practice inventory control techniques. Planning: scheduling product supply plans, coordinating with operations to execute to plan, ensuring product delivery.

In addition, the role requires leading the identification, design and implementation of continuous improvement projects such as Kanban based purchasing, and NPI supply chain setup. Critical, analytical thinking combined with demonstrated application are essential to success in the role, all within a regulated environment

This position is part of the Materials/Planning Team located in Lismeehan, Co. Clare and will be based on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Materials/Planning Team, and report to the Materials/Planning Manager responsible for procurement, inventory management, supply planning and continuous improvement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be responsible for a procurement portfolio across a range of vendors, independently identifying and avoiding raw material supply issues, and solving when they occur.

  • Be responsible for production planning and finished goods availability of a product group.

  • Lead the implementation of site-level projects, coordinating various functions’ inputs to successful completion, measured to business metrics.

  • Act as knowledge resource for colleagues on functional, problem-solving and business issues.

  • Develop and apply business expertise through the Danaher Business System (DBS).

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a suitable field e.g. business, engineering, supply chain with 5+ applicable years’ experience OR, master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience OR, Doctoral degree with 0-2 years’ experience.

  • Experience in use of ERP software (preferably Oracle).

  • Intermediate or advanced spreadsheet analysis experience.

  • Experience in data processing for decision making.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Process Improvement Project implementations, ideally leading or as contributor.

  • Medical device/Lifesciences industry.

  • Logistics goods inwards/outwards.

  • Holding APICS or similarly accredited qualifications.
