IDEX Supervisor - Pumps Production in Ocala, Florida

Direct and supervise production operations for Hale Products Pumps Non-Manifold and Booster Lines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and manage the manufacture and assembly of products to ensure manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Participate in continuous operational improvement using six sigma, lean, 5S, kaizen, VSM and other tool sets with the help of the Hale CI Manager.

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

  • Directing workflow to meet production goals.

  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

  • Participate in management meetings as needed.

  • Determine the best use of resources and people to maintain steady workflow.

  • Identify part shortages and communicate with the manager.

  • Monitor and enforce safety and quality standards.

  • Trouble shoot problems and drive to root cause solutions, this may require working with other departments including but not limited to engineering, planning, purchasing etc.

  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvement programs.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and supervise a team.

  • Basic Outlook and Excel experience.

  • Mechanical knowledge for basic tools and assembly.

  • Read and decipher blueprints.

  • Basic production knowledge and ability to coordinate people and resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience leading teams

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
