Sodexo is seeking a Sous Chef for HCA Ocala Hospital in Ocala, FL . HCA Florida Ocala is 323-bed level 2 trauma facility located in the heart of Ocala, FL. Known as the Horse Capital of the World, Ocala is just a short drive to Universal Studios & Disney World!

The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef to maintain high quality food production for patients, doctors lounge and retail areas. This position will work hands-on overseeing culinary food operations including fostering and developing a team of frontline employees, assisting with purchasing, and menu development.

Salary range is negotiable based on experience with a full benefits package that kicks in immediately.

The successful candidate will:

• help implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital

• work hands-on with the team to meet and exceed business needs

• supervise, develop, and mentor frontline staff and supervisors

• assist with procurement and purchasing

• help create menus based on client needs

• help create interpersonal relationships with clients and customers

We are looking for candidates who have:

• a strong culinary background in a high-volume environment

• strong leadership skills and experience

• menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends

• proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused
