IDEX Facilities Manager in Ocala, Florida

The Facilities Manager will oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in excellent working condition. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating with other departments, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency. This role is involved in long range planning with management to ensure facilities infrastructure is in place to support production activities and growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

  • Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures.

  • Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance activities.

  • Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly.

  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment.

  • Manage relationships with vendors for services such as roofing, renovation, and installation of new equipment.

  • Negotiate contracts and ensure quality and timely completion of vendor services.

  • Management of facilities projects including capital requests, quoting activities, and bid awards.

  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent internal customer service.

  • Proficiency in maintenance management software.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and ERP system use.

  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment.

  • Overall knowledge and experience with the maintenance and property management needs for facilities and grounds, i.e., equipment, irrigation, plumbing, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.

  • At least five (5) years of experience as a Facilities or Maintenance Manager, leading a team of Maintenance personnel.

  • Experience in manufacturing environment required.
