Location

This position is based at our Oakville, Ontario location, with flexibility for travel to and from the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Offer technical expertise and guidance to designers and the entire project team by applying engineering standards, principles, and practices to ensure the design, construction, and delivery of an integrated system.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of various systems, sub-systems, while managing configuration and change management throughout the project lifecycle

  • Support technical reviews of design submittals, for compliance with standards, technical requirements, and codes System Engineering processes and principles.

  • Perform Technical Risk Assessments for complex Infrastructure jobs.

  • Develop and update Systems Integration SOPs for Infrastructure projects.

  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and mitigate interface risks.

  • Manage staff and activities for multiple projects and develop staffing plans and schedules to meet the delivery schedule and task requirements.

  • Supporting the review and acceptance of assurance deliverables by providing integration level reviews.

  • Coordinating and controlling integration requirement compliance assurance and supporting risk-based assurance and auditing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR similar type experience in a related position that provides knowledge and experience required for this position.

  • 10+ years of Systems Integration and Engineering experience.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Requirements Management, Interface Management, Configuration Management, Verification and Validation, RAMS and Systems Assurance.

  • Experience with Requirements Management Tools (Jama Connect, IBM DOORS, IBM DOORS NG, Helix ALM) – preferred.

  • INCOSE Certification preferred.

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies

  • Familiar with CENELEC, INCOSE and Systems Engineering Standards

  • Experience managing complex technical projects across the entire system lifecycle.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to guide and mentor early career professional.
