Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Spares and Customer Support, as the Aftermarket Program Manager, you will provide program-specific, cross-site and cross-functional planning, direction, coordination and reporting within the Operations and Supply Chain functions.

This position is on a Hybrid work capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Function as the focal point for a specific program(s) within the Commercial Landing Gear Division's Aftermarket organizations. Responsible for ensuring that executable program plans, schedules and budgets are in place to meet deliverables on their specific Program(s), from forecasting demand, inventory planning and order entry thru shipment and billing, and that actions/milestones are occurring as planned.

  • Work across Collins Landing Systems site and functional boundaries with the Supply Chain and Plant Managers to make sure that manufacturing, supply chain and delivery schedules are in alignment with customer needs and that risks/obstacles are appropriately identified and dealt with in a pro-active and expeditious manner.

  • Interface with our customers and suppliers on program specific issues, schedules, processes and activities.

  • Serve as a main point of contact for their given program(s) within the Aftermarket organizations; will have a visible, vital, tactical and strategic role in the formulation and execution of the program specific plans and actions.

  • Support resources may be assigned to this position as required to achieve the desired coordination and data accumulation.

  • Assist with the development and support negotiations of new Aftermarket contracts and any amendments to current Aftermarket agreements.

  • Provide current/accurate promise dates to internal and external customers and highlight delivery concerns in advance.

  • Coordinate development of recovery/expedite plans for non-supporting parts.

  • Make sure nothing 'falls through the cracks', as the program crosses functional and site boundaries.

  • Ensure plans for readiness meet changing demands.

  • Chair the Change Board ensuring timely and cost effective implementation of all change activity.

  • Identify CI opportunities with respect to the program, initiate events/projects to improve.

  • Implement, track and report program specific metrics.

  • Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with all customers and suppliers (external/internal) to facilitate the seamless flow of Products and information.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years in program management experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • A proven track record dealing with external customers

  • Experience in MS office to analyze data and develop presentation.

  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP and be eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualification

  • 5 years of Aftermarket industry experience with manufacturing and sales environment

  • Experience with the sale of Aftermarket products

  • Previous ERP experience (SAP Preferred)

  • Previous Landing Gear knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Must be effective at communicating and getting results across functional and site boundaries

  • Must also be comfortable reporting opportunities, plans, progress, initiatives, etc. to executive-level management, internal to Collins, the suppliers and customers

  • Previous managerial/supervisory experience would be considered an asset

  • Highly motivated and dedicated individual capable of functioning in a very fast-paced environment

  • Leading continuous improvement in the processes and performance of their specific program
