WELLSPRING K12 Chinese Immersion Cooperation is a nonprofit education organization that aims to extend Chinese immersion education opportunities to students beyond school. Founded in Spring 2023, the organization fosters a supportive environment for students looking to expand their knowledge of the Chinese language and culture.

Role Description

WELLSPRING K12 is currently looking for a Part-time After School Educator to join our team in Fremont, CA. The After School Educator will be responsible for leading the after-school program for students, ages 6-11, and cultivating a nurturing and safe environment for them. The After School Educator will work Monday through Friday, on site, and perform the following tasks weekly:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote academic, social, and emotional development, such as homework help, snack time, and outdoor activities
• Plan and instruct classes on Chinese culture and language focused on developing and improving Chinese language abilities
• Keep Students engaged and safe during class period.
• Carefully look after students during indoor and outdoor break time.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and ensure the safety of the children at all times
• Communicate regularly with parents and provide them with feedback on their children's progress and development
• Manage behavioral situations and provide one-on-one support where appropriate
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Course work in Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Passionate about Chinese culture and language education
• Able to pass a background check and fingerprinting

Educator: $20-25/per hour (based on education, experience, and the interview process)
