Job Title: Commercial HVAC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician responsible for servicing rooftop units, compressors, walk-in coolers, freezers at restaurants, boilers, and more. The role involves working on various facilities including restaurants, high-rise condos, and office buildings. The service area extends from the north side of Chicago to the Wisconsin border and out to Elgin. Technicians will travel directly to service locations from their homes.

Responsibilities

• Service rooftop units, compressors, walk-in coolers, and freezers at restaurants, high reise condos, office buildings, and retail stores

• Maintain and repair boilers and other HVAC systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.

• Work on a variety of facilities, such as restaurants, high-rise condos, and office buildings.

• Travel to service locations within the designated service area.

• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency services.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical inclination with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work in fast-paced and stressful environments.

• Ability to read repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.

• Thorough understanding of HVAC tools, materials, operation, maintenance, and repair.

• Knowledge of safe mechanical practices and applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations.

• Ability to repair, install, inspect, diagnose, and maintain all parts of HVAC systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• NATE Certified, completed HVAC training, or 5-year service experience required.

• Universal EPA Certification required.

• Valid driver's license with no driving restrictions and an insurable driving record.

• Must pass pre-employment screening

• Ability to drive/travel across state lines.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
