Strata-G is seeking an experienced Material Scientist with the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with Business Development and Sales/Marketing teams to understand customer requirements and key value in use parameters to define new product opportunities incorporating Prisma technology to meet and exceed customer needs.

Collaborate with customers to define functional product performance requirements and translate them into product technical specifications.

Design and execute experimental plans to develop products/manufacturing processes meeting customer requirements of cost and performance.

Collaborate with customers and client internal teams to define and execute new product validation programs to achieve customer acceptance.

Provide product launch support at both the client and customers manufacturing sites

Collaborate with Prisma R&D team and external collaborators as appropriate to achieve objectives.

Develop technical data sheets and processing/handling/use procedures for customers

Oversee production campaigns at third-party compounding and test facilities

Coordinate third-party validation testing regimen to verify compliance with customer requirements

Manage multiple development programs to meet customer needs and business development timelines.

Monitor all customer issues and assist to identify and resolve issues effectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or educational equivalent.

4 years' experience in polymer research or applications development. Sound working knowledge of the principles of industrial polymer formulation and processing and its relation to properties.

Strong background in differing polymer compounding and material handling technologies, focusing on process development and enhancement of product key characteristics.

Working knowledge of injection molding and secondary part processing technologies to support Prisma's product launch at the customers site

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Bonus: Other Microsoft applications

Sound working knowledge of the key drivers of value for manufacturers in the plastics parts industry.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills. (Design of Experiments knowledge is key)

Experience using Mini-Tab statistical Analysis software is a plus

Strong project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking

Team player with a problem-solving aptitude and “can-do” attitude

Self-directed professional accountable for delegated tasks and responsibilities

Willingness to travel, up to 50% time depending on business needs
